Augmented Reality Tracking Library for Industries

Tracking is the core technology for Augmented Reality as it registers position and orientation of the camera in real-time. For industrial applications tracking has to work without scene preparation (e.g. markers or feature maps), and 3D-objects or machinery components have to be recognized in changing illuminations and surroundings.

Here, VisionLib offers a one-fits-all tracking solution, which is robust, accurate, and high performing at the same time. Our Computer Vision tracking library relies on a model based tracking approach: use your CAD data and create tracking configurations on your own — without pre-knowledge of the scene-to-be-tracked.

The model tracker is easy to setup, without pre-registering targets or surroundings: simply use your CAD models to create trackers as you need them. Extended the model tracker with markerless feature tracking to enhance robustness.

VisionLib’s core API is light and slim to easily fit into your industrial software infrastructure – the tracking can be deployed as native component on your smartphone or run as web service on your cloud.
